WHAT IS EARLY INTERVENTION?
Early intervention is a term used to describe services and support given to families of children ages birth to three.
In the state of South Carolina, families can submit a
self-referral for their child to qualify for BabyNet early intervention services.
These services are free of charge through the state. (click to view a family guide)
SUBMIT A REFERRAL TO BABYNET FOR YOUR CHILD. There will be a BabyNet Intake Coordinator who will complete an evaluation for your child to determine if they are eligible.
If your child is determined to be eligible they will be referred to a service coordinator. This person will work closely with you to create an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and to provide family training. They will also help you to get services, such as Speech-Language Therapy.
SUBMIT A SEPARATE
SPEECH INTAKE FORM.
Bring your concerns to your service coordinator/Early Interventionist. They will work to make sure that your child receives a comprehensive Speech-Language Evaluation and Services if need be. We would love to be your child's provider.
